KEEP conducts environment education programmes for students of schools and colleges. This programme provides an opportunity for students to live close to nature, participate in forest conservation activities and interact with local communities. The Center provides guidance for field studies and project work to individual students.
This is an ideal place to conduct field studies in Ecology, Biology, Geography, Forestry, Conservation, Natural Resource Economics, Sociology and Anthropology. All this with the aid of our experienced staff and a growing Nursery and Germ-Plasm Bank.
Students visiting Kaigal work on the land, learn nursery techniques, help in land care activities such as constructing rain water trenches, afforestation, seed collection for the germ plasm bank and so on.
